Ekahau Site Survey - Программа измерения и моделирования (Site Survey) сетей 802.11a/b/g/n. Особенность данного ПО в том, что из аппаратного обеспечения потребуется лишь ноутбук с адаптером Wi-Fi и желательно, внешняя антенна, позволяющая повысить точность проводимых измерений. Соответственно, для наружных работ при покупке опционального-программного модуля понадобится GPS-приемник.

Схема работы этого ПО весьма проста. В начале с помощью Site Survey производится планирование сети, для чего в редакторообразном окне составляется план покрываемого сетью помещения. Далее производится выбор расположения точек доступа, а при помощи Ekahau Client и ноутбука – проверка и доводка выбранного положения точек доступа. Далее идет этап выбора оптимального радиорежима и повторный контроль радиоэфира. Вообще, работа с программой напоминает подгонку результата под необходимые условия в числовых методах. Корреляция искомого положения радиоэфира беспроводной сети ведется до тех пор, пока не будет найден достаточный для заданных условий режим.

The directory installation layout changed a bit from 11.2 to 11.3 but the classes are the same, it seems to me. You may try this:
1) take the previous patch ep1114.jar (the previous ep-main-0.1.0.jar seems to work too, and it seems to deal even with Dv.class, for the proxy too) and put it into C:\Program Files\Ekahau\Ekahau AI Pro-11.3.1\app
2) With a text editor edit Ekahau AI Pro.cfg. Administrative privileges are likely required. Before the line "app.classpath=$APPDIR\survey.application.jar" paste "app.classpath=$APPDIR\ep1114.jar".
3) Try.

FYI: the logfile now is in %USERPROFILE%\Ekahau Pro\log.

P.S. If someone knows how the original patch was created, I would be curious to know. I'm absolutely no Java expert, maybe it is trivial. Just for curiousity, I decompiled the patch classes, then recompiled them. Whe I try to rebuild the .jar, I see that there is uppercase/lowercase confusion (both Cz.class and CZ.class are present for example) and the compiler gives symbol resolution errors. So I'm unable to merely rebuild the .jar. If there is someone hearing who produced the patch, I would be curious. Thx:)

anyone have the later version 11.4 for MacOS ?

У меня не получается пролечить программу для Mac OS:
1. В архиве нет файла Ekahau AI Pro.zip
2. Без него не лечится
3. Подложив от предыдущей версии - не лечится

11.4.1 is out. For win: Again, the class structure is not changed that much. Only a rename seems to be needed.
Take the previous cure, ep-main-11.4.0-renamed.jar , open it with some unzip program, and rename com\ekahau\x\GM.class to GQ.class, save it and use it like in 11.4.0. It should work for 11.4.1.

Maybe it would be more correct to also hex-edit the GQ file and change every GM occurrence in GQ, even if it seem to work only renaming it. (this is also too primitive, the file should be recompiled, but it seems to work anyway).

PS just in my other reply, If someone knows how the original patch was created, or if someone is able to decompile and recompile it, I would be curious to know how you do it. I always find method "is already defined in class" errors as a() and b() methods always seem to be defined multiple times, with no argument difference to differentiate between them. I'm absolutely no Java expert, maybe the solution is trivial. I'm just curious. Thx:)
